This work focuses on investigating the characteristics of restricted horizontal jet fire caused by fuel leakage as a pipeline or tank fracture. The study aims to quantify effect exit velocity and nozzle-facing wall distance flame height width, well developing new non-dimensional heat release rate Qn* better characterize geometry. conducted three distances (0.05, 0.10, 0.15 m) with varying ejection speeds from 1.04 6.25 m/s. Results show that width increase both speed. side constrains air entering into plume, which pushes closer wall. A was proposed basis plate-nozzle distance, fit 1/4 2/5 power Qn*, respectively. global model developed for size under multiple restrictions. findings this are crucial in improving our understanding accidents can aid measures minimize potential casualties economic losses.
